Facilities / Meeting Venues
St. Davids-Queenston United Church has a variety of facilities to meet your needs. Our church is handicap accessible and fully WiFi capable. Use of the St. Davids-Queenston United Church facilities is governed by our Facility Use Policy.
The Sanctuary of St. Davids-Queenston United Church has main level pews and balcony that will seat approximately 150 comfortably. The Sanctuary is air conditioned and fully accessible for handicapped visitors through a lift. The Sanctuary is equipped with a full sound system with additional speakers in the narthex and in the hall downstairs. It has an electronic Rogers organ and a baby grand piano.
The Christian Education Hall was added to the original church in 1964 and is a large hall for meetings, suppers and bazaars. The hall is handicap accessible through a stair lift and one washroom is also accessible. The hall can seat up to 120 persons.
There is a stage at one end and ample windows facing south producing natural light. A fully equipped kitchen adjoins the hall. The hall comes equipped with a supply of 6-foot long tables and ample chairs. Projection screen and a sound system are available. A full size upright piano is located in the CE Hall. The CE Hall is heated during the winter months by a forced-air gas furnace and air conditioned for your summertime comfort.
The Hall is currently offered to the St. Davids Beavers on Tuesday evenings and the Cubs and Scouts on Thursday evenings. The Queenston Ladies Choir and the Niagara Star Singers occasionally use the Hall practices.
Once a month from September to May on the second Friday of the month, the Activities Committee hosts our Beef on a Bun, Euchre and games evening, which has become a highlight for the surrounding community. The Social Craft Group uses the Hall on Wednesday afternoons; our Youth Group gathers in the CE Hall on the first and third Friday evenings.
The Christian Education Hall is available for rentals and would be a perfect venue for large meetings, recitals and receptions.
The Church lower level has a Christian Education classroom that can seat 12 people comfortably.
The classroom is outfitted with flip charts and a 42 inch flatscreen TV, DVD player and VCR.
A comfortable parlour is also located in the lower level.
The parlour has three couches and two chairs and lamps. Our classroom and parlour are available for rentals and would be appropriate for smaller functions and gatherings.
